Ride Bikes Returns Policy
Returns Policy for Online Purchases
We understand that you might wish to return your online purchase for whatever reason and we offer hassle-free returns. Because you bought your item online you are entitled to cancel your order for any reason under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. As long as you notify us within 14 days from the day when you received it and the item is in a ‘Sellable’ condition when we receive it, you will be entitled to a refund, subject to below.
Items to be returned
All items must be in a ‘Sellable’ condition when we receive them. ‘Sellable’ condition means that the item has not been worn, used, damaged or altered and still has the tags on (if applicable).
- We will not accept items that are not in this condition.
- We cannot accept the return of customised bikes or items, underwear, face masks, gift vouchers, food, energy products or safety equipment. Helmets must strictly be clearly unused, marked and still with tags on to accept a return.
- You must have proof of purchase.
- You must return the item to us within 14 days from the day you notified us that you would like to return the item.
Returns Procedure for Online Purchases
- Ensure the items are still in a ‘Sellable’ condition as above
- Download our returns form Ride Bikes Return Form
- Package the item carefully and include the completed returns form.
- Post it back to us at the following address. You are responsible for the return postage costs and for the safety of the item until we receive it, so please ensure you pay the correct postage and insurance with you chosen courier/Royal Mail.

- Please allow 5 working days for the item to reach us, provided the item is in a ‘Sellable condition’. We aim to process your return within 3 working days of receipt, but certainly within 14 days. Your refund will be processed using the same payment method and might take up to 7 working days to appear back in your account.
- You do not need to contact us to tell us about the return, unless you would like to.
- If you are returning a bike bought online it must be in the same ‘Sellable condition and unused. We will not accept a return bike that has been built and ridden. To send it back to us, ensure it still has the original packaging and is sent with a suitable courier with adequate insurance. The bike and its safety is your responsibility until it arrives back at the shop. If you would like us to arrange collection using our courier then please contact us, you will be charged for this at the price the courier quotes.
- We will only refund your original postage if the item is faulty.
In addition to our Returns Policy, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days from the day you receive your goods if you are an online, mail or telephone order customer. You then have a further 14 days from the date you notify the retailer of your cancellation to return the goods.
Returns Policy for Instore Purchases
- We do not accept returns for a refund unless the item is faulty.
- If you wish to return an item we may exchange it for a credit note if you return it within 14 days from the date of purchase. If issued, the credit note will be valid for 3 months.
- You must be able to show proof of purchase.
- This does not affect your statutory rights
Returns Procedure for Instore Purchases
Please return the item to us either:
- By post to 5 Union Place, Ulverston, Cumbria, LA12 7HS. If you are returning your item by post please follow the Online Returns Procedure above.
- Come into the shop with it and have a chat.
Faulty Goods
If you believe that your item is faulty, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you are entitled to return it to us within 30 days of purchase for a refund.
If you discover a fault within 6 months please contact us to discuss a repair or replacement and possible warranty. If you discover a fault after 6 months please contact us for any possible warranty options only. Please note that Ride Bikes do not offer any warranties with the goods, the warranties will be taken up with manufacturers and this may take a longer time to resolve as items may need to be sent away for warranty consideration.
Please note that if damage has been caused by wear and tear, improper use or care or some other factor then it will likely not be covered under any warranty.
